Tandberg Data introduce a new family of affordable RDX removable disk solutions with the launch of USB 3.0 connectivity for its RDX QuikStor data protection solution. Also launched today is a new line of RDX cartridges based on solid-state disk technology for demanding environments that require super fast, extremely durable and portable storage.

RDX is an award-winning data protection solution. The cartridge-based removable disk storage system offers an easy, reliable and budget-friendly solution for backup, archive, data interchange and disaster recovery.

The new RDX QuikStor SuperSpeed USB 3.0 docks are fully compatible with all RDX cartridges, maintaining full interchangeability of all RDX docks and cartridges.

The RDX QuikStor USB 3.0 achieves speeds up to eight times that of the USB 2.0 and SATA versions. In addition, the RDX QuikStor USB 3.0 has been optimised for power efficiency, making the device more environmentally friendly.

New RDX Solid-State Disk Cartridges
Customers now have the choice between standard high-capacity RDX cartridges or the new RDX solid-state disk cartridges, which provide blazing fast transfer rates of up to 180MB/s, when used with the RDX QuikStor USB 3.0. Designed for mission-critical, data-intensive applications such as medical, military, video editing and surveillance, the new RDX solid-state disk cartridge capacities include 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. Standard RDX media is available in capacities ranging from 160GB to 1TB, with an ever-increasing capacity roadmap that tracks with the 2.5-inch mobile hard disk drive industry.
